20120128 - Teabox Sensors

Lately, we have been introduced to a sensor system called the Teabox. The Teabox offer lots of possibilities of integrating physical computing and interaction. It is able to work with MaxMSP and it gives Interactive Media artists more options.

I got my hands onto the sensors and experimenting with them. Here’s a diagram created to identify the different sensors I borrowed.

I came across these Japanese info-graphic designs which were really good. Inspired by the Constructivist approach, these were created with geometric shapes, lines, visual path and labelled with a color coding system.

It is quite systematic but in a nice and neat way that suits art with technology and new media.

The style could be applied in web design and I think a Constructivist website will be really cool.

Augmented Reality Photography

20111226 - Augmented Reality Xmas Tree

Was playing around with this augmented reality iPhone app – ARAPPLI. It allow users take a photo of QR code and download digital content to their phone. It is very engaging with these interactive graphics generated, and I used them to create photos.

I guess in the near future, there will be more of these kind of augmented reality technology.
