Luncheon Meat Copycats
I was grocery shopping for Lunar New Year foodstuff when I came across these. All the luncheon meat brands were designed similarly with the same colour scheme. If you look carefully, they are actually different brands. Tricky for consumers but I find it quite amusing.
Brother’s Cooking
My brother invited his friends over to our house and he cooked all these. A salad, roasted chicken and fries. I thought they look and taste great! My brother took a course in culinary during his polytechnic days and had been experimenting with food ever since.
The trend nowadays is having house parties and it gives him opportunity to cook and invite friends over to try his cooking. I thought it was a great idea. I guess I might want to pick up a few dishes from him in the future and invite my friends over!
Luncheon Meat Breakfast
Sick of eating outside food, I decided to make my own breakfast. This is one of the few times of me cooking other than simple eggs and instant noodles. In the end, I think it turned out slightly overcooked. Nonetheless, I still managed to finish them as I am a big fan of luncheon meat!
Instant Stir Fried Chicken and Basil with Rice
I saw this at FairPrice. Stir fried chicken and basil with rice is one of the common Thai dishes. When I was in Thailand, I had eaten it on many occasions. In Thai, it is called ‘Kao Pad Krapao.’ Now that I am back in Singapore, sometimes I still keep a look out for Thai food to try. So here, an instant version of ’Kao Pad Krapao!’
