People ask what is the meaning of life?
This is it. ^^
My house was undergoing painting for the weekend. My father’s friend who is a painter carried out the task with a different style of working.
He painted all the ceilings on Day 1 and painted all walls on Day 2, completing my house in two days. It is faster and more efficient to paint this way rather than painting from room to room.
I guess it is psychological easier to paint like this, because painter can paint similar surfaces in the same direction. With a bit of innovation, a task can be solved effortlessly or with ease!
My paternal grandmother was hospitalized at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She was admitted due to dizziness but as of now, she is already well and discharged.
I remember during one of the hospital visit to visit my grandmother, I saw this poster. The thing that strikes me is the use of ‘art and science’ by this nurse to teach. I thought it is really modern and suits our time.
Art and Science have always been that ‘odd couple.’ Since a few years back, the trend had been moving towards cross-disciplinary fields and we see many areas of collaboration between Art and Science. If we can connect between Art and Science, I am sure there will be lots of new sparks, ideas, solutions and opportunities in the future.
Here, Art and Science is applied in the medical industry and this can only be a good thing.
Lately, I have been posting quite a few about Circle Line MRT. This time round, it is about this tree poster inside Buona Vista MRT. I thought it certainly look special and surreal by having some organic and natural elements in a modern MRT station setting. It could be a nice idea if the tree is an interactive tree display/visualisation that responds to MRT commuters, commuters data or train timing. Some food for thought, wild imagination and day-dreaming…
Growing up, I have often been fascinated by construction sites. It must be the influence from playing too much LEGO! I have always enjoy watching construction taking place – watching how workers get around with their tasks. Everyone knows who does what and where to go.It has to do with the efficiency, the planning and management of the project, the people and equipment. All these are very well-coordinated and planned. The key is to arrange the sequence well so that things can run smooth.
I thought it can be applied in everything we do. By breaking down big task into small tasks, it doesn’t look so daunting anymore. From each small task or step we take, we can go on to create the bigger picture – like this big construction project here.
